Let us help create your dream cake.

No size is too large.

My standards are very high when it comes to what I do, which I learned in part from my grandmother, who got me started in cake decorating when I was younger. She made numerous wedding cakes in her lifetime, most of which were gifts to the bride and groom, all at great personal cost to her.  In her memory, a few pictures of the cakes she has made can be seen throughout this website.

I didn't actually take any interest in cake decorating until I was 10 years old and watched her make my cousin’s cake [see Cake #05R01]. To make something from scratch, from mixing and baking the batter to putting the last leaf on the finished product is an amazing art. Patience, a steady hand, as well as an eye for color and texture are what turn a cake into a masterpiece.

My first true experience with wedding cakes came after some friends eloped to Vermont. For their six-month wedding anniversary, I made them the wedding cake they never had. Unfortunately, there are no photos of it..

A few years passed before I seriously took up the notion of cake decorating. After an impromptu move to Iowa, I started working as a cake decorator at the Wal-Mart Bakery. The following month, I was asked to decorate a display wedding cake, for everyone to see. It was a huge undertaking and took four hours to complete.

I averaged about two wedding cakes per month during my 18-month employment with Wal-Mart, but have since left and am doing wedding cakes “freelance”, as it were.

My grandmother passed away several years ago, and it saddens me that she never saw me get married or create my own wedding cake [see Cake #11C01], but her legacy will continue on through me, because I enjoy doing so. It is in my blood, after all.

Thank you for visiting my website, and I look forward to creating the perfect cake with you.

1. DESIGN AND SALES QUOTES

-The images provided on our website are examples of cake sizes and designs. As all our products are handmade and can be ordered in different sizes from those shown on the website, your cake may have variations from the website image. We do not create exact replicas of any cake, and variations of color and design may apply.

-If you wish to receive a quote, please send us an email and and include the following information:

1) Your requested date,
2) The approximate number of expected guests,
3) The number of tiers and cake sizes you would like,
4) Cake flavors/frostings you are interested in,
5) Is your reception indoor or outdoor?
6) Will you be picking up your cake, or will it need to be delivered and set up by us?
7) If we are delivering the cake and setting it up, what is the address of the delivery?
All information you can provide will be beneficial at determining an appropriate quote for your cake.

-All quotes are sent via email and remain valid for 30 days from the date of quotation.

-A minimum of 90 days advanced notice is required to place an order. We do not accept orders for events that are less than 90 days away.

-A wedding cake serving size is defined as 1 inch x 2 inches x 4 inches. The total servings listed on your quote and invoice is an approximation based on this information. We are not responsible for a cake shortage due to serving sizes being cut larger than these measurements.

-We do not charge the “normal” wedding cake fees of a certain dollar amount per serving. Instead, we have calculated our actual cost, plus labor, so our prices reflect this.

2. CONSULTATION & TASTING

-Consultations/tastings are by appointment only. We recommend scheduling the appointment six to nine months before your wedding. It is best to have your date, venue, and many of your reception details when scheduling a consultation.

-If you are undecided about a date, we cannot confirm our availability.

-Our consultation and tasting fee is $35.00, non-refundable, and must be paid when you book your consultation. If you decide to place your wedding cake order with us, we will apply this fee to your order.

-Out of consideration for you and our commitments to other clients, we limit our consultations to one hour.

-Tasting is limited to four people, and includes three 4-inch cake flavors/frostings of your choice [from our Cake Flavors and Frostings Page], and 1 dozen specialty cupcakes in a flavor of our choice.

-Prior to your visit, feel free to browse our website. If you see a design or size you like, make note of its assigned name and we can go over details.

-Colors will be matched to the best of our ability and only when we are provided with a swatch. Exact matching is not guaranteed. Darker colors are more difficult to match.

-All cakes are custom-made and no two cakes will ever be exactly the same. We reserve the right to make any changes to the final cake. The cake order form is a guideline for colors, design, flavors, and decorations, but DOES NOT guarantee the final product.

3. BOOKING, DEPOSITS, AND PAYMENTS

-We do not provide sketches until you have committed to us by paying your deposit.

-A deposit of 25% of your total cake cost is required upon booking in order to secure your date. The deposit cannot be applied toward future purchases.

-Also due upon booking is the Delivery & Set-up Fees, which can be paid together with your deposit.

-Make sure you are ready to book and are confirmed on the event before paying the deposit. By paying the deposit, you agree to everything described within this Terms and Conditions document.

-Payments can be made toward your final order price. However, your order must be paid IN FULL, in person, at least 30 days prior to your event. If your order is not paid by then, this contract is null and void and we will assume you wish to cancel your order. A refund will be issued based on the refund schedule as described in CANCELLATIONS, DATE CHANGES, AND REFUNDS.

-Your final payment due date is listed at the bottom of your invoice.

-You must finalize your order at the time it is paid in full. It is YOUR responsibility to make us aware of any necessary changes at this time. Order changes will NOT be accepted after it has been finalized and paid in full.

-Payments will be accepted via cash, check, PayPal, or a government-issued money order.

4. CANCELLATIONS, DATE CHANGES, AND REFUNDS

-If for any reason you need to cancel your order, the cake deposit cannot be applied toward future purchases.

-You may cancel your order at any time, and must do so in writing by sending us an email.

-In order to maintain commitments to other clients, you are limited to a one-time postponement. We will be unable to honor requests for extra date changes, your order will be canceled, and refunds will be given based on our Refund Schedule and your original event date as stated on your invoice.

-If you wish to postpone, you will be charged a non-refundable $25 deposit. Your new date is subject to availability. If we are UNABLE to fit you in our calendar on your new date, you will receive a 90% refund, less the cancellation fee. If we are ABLE to fit you in our calendar, your balance will remain due on the ORIGINAL date as stated in your invoice.

-In the special case of an officially declared Florida State of Emergency due to hurricane, other inclement weather, or any other reason, you will receive a refund, less the cost of any work and fees associated with ordering supplies specifically to meet your order.

-If there are issues with your cake post-delivery, we will discuss refunds on a case-by-case basis. The maximum refund we offer is the value of your cake, as listed on your invoice. Further compensation is not available.

-Refunds will never be given for any cake that has been consumed, partially or otherwise, regardless of dispute, as consumption of the cake is viewed as your acceptance that the cake was adequate for the purpose for which it was intended.

-In the very unlikely event that we must cancel your order for any reason, we will give you as much notice as possible, and discuss the matter with you and try to find a suitable alternative decorator. A full refund will be issued.

-Allow up to 2 weeks for refunds to be processed.

5. PICKUP, DELIVERY, AND SET-UP

-If you are picking up your cake, it may only be collected at a prearranged time and date. We are not responsible for damages or problems that may arise after your order leaves the premises. If something does occur and the item(s) are brought back to be fixed, there will be a fee of $50 per hour for any repairs, charged in hourly increments. If we are required to travel to the venue to fix any issues, Delivery and Mileage Fees will apply.

-Due to the delicate nature of baked goods used with plates and pillars, if your cake is larger than four tiers, we highly recommend allowing us to deliver and set up your order.

-Delivering your cake will incur a $50 flat fee.

-Mileage will be charged at 35 cents per round-trip mile from our address on the invoice.

-A delivery date and time must be agreed upon by both parties, and if you are not at location at the agreed time, you will be given a 30-minute grace period. -There is a $75 flat fee for us to set up your cake at the venue.

-We reserve the right to make delivery and set-up decisions based on what is best for the cake.

-If we deliver and set up your cake, we will always take a photo of the cake set up from several angles, to ensure it has been properly displayed and that there are no issues before we leave.

-Whether your cake is being picked up or delivered, you will be required to sign an Acknowledgement of Receipt of Goods. Once this document has been signed, we will not be held responsible for any issues with your cake. These issues that may occur include, but are not limited to: weather conditions, table on un-level ground, wind blowing undesirable atmospheric items i.e.: dirt, leaves, branches, sunlight, etc), insects and other wildlife, products such as frosting, fillings, cake decorations, etc., may not hold up and are not insured past delivery and set-up.

This third party assumes your role, as if you yourself were there to collect the order. We are not responsible or liable for damage due to third party negligence or improper handling once the product has been picked up or delivered.

-In the unlikely event we are in a car accident on the way to deliver your cake, we will issue a full refund.

6. EQUIPMENT RENTAL

-There is an additional refundable security deposit for any and all equipment rentals, for items that include, but are not limited to: cake stands, plates/pillars, fake flowers, cake toppers, staircases, fountains, etc.

-The rental deposit will vary and is based upon the value of the items being rented, and is required on or before your final payment and will be held until all equipment has been returned. All equipment must be returned within 3 days of your event, and in the same condition in which it was delivered. If you neglect to return our equipment within 3 days of your event, your security deposit will be held and applied toward replacement costs.

-If your cake requires fresh flowers, it is the responsibility of the florist for providing the flowers and making sure they are safe to place on an edible cake. They must be clean and non-toxic. We are not responsible for the safety of fresh flowers, and assume no liability.

-You acknowledge that fresh flowers are not a food product, and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt, or other contaminants.

-If fresh flowers are provided from a florist, we will arrange up to 12 stems for free. Each additional stem will cost $1.

9. VIEWING

-When orders are being completed, we are extremely busy. Please do not request images of cakes prior to pickup/delivery as we do not offer this service. You are also not permitted to visit us during the completion period, for the same reasons.

10. SOCIAL MEDIA

CAKE FLAVORS

Angel Food: Containing no egg yolks, this "light as a cloud" cake is pure white on the inside, and has a light brown, chewy, exterior. Perfect with any type of berry and cream.

Apple: This cake batter is oil-based instead of butter, and includes Golden Delicious apples and roasted salted pecans. Nuts are optional.

Apple Pear: Made the same as our Apple cake, but also includes real Bartlett pears. Nuts are optional. One of our top five favorite flavors of all time.

Banana: Better than your grandmother’s banana bread, our recipe has been tweaked to perfection. Choice of walnuts, pecans, or no nuts.

Banana and Chocolate Chip: Our Banana cake recipe, with added chocolate chips. Nuts are optional.

Blueberry: Our take on blueberry muffins, makes a lovely cake. Made with fresh blueberries.

Marble: Our classic vanilla cake, swirled with chocolate ganache.

Orange: Our classic vanilla cake recipe, but instead of vanilla, we add freshly squeezed orange juice and zest.

Pear: Made the same as our Apple cake, but with Bartlett pears instead of apples. Nuts are optional.

Pound Cake: The classic pound cake, found at many a Christmas party.

FILLINGS AND FROSTINGS

Except for the Bavarian creams and Fondant, these are all interchangeable with being used as a filling or for covering the outside of your cake.

Banana Bavarian Cream: Banana pudding. Who doesn’t love it? Might we suggest using this with our peanut butter cake, and chocolate frosting?

Caramel: Homemade sauce will be poured between your cake layers. Be careful when cutting the cake, though, it gets messy!

Chai Frosting: With hints of vanilla, ginger, cloves, and cinnamon, this goes perfectly with the Chai cake. Need we say more?

Chocolate Bavarian Cream: This chocolate pudding is perfect with our signature chocolate cake.

Chocolate Frosting. Made with our signature buttercream, this will leave your tongue dancing with chocolate-y goodness.

Chocolate Ganache: Dark chocolate and heavy cream, cooled, and whipped until light and fluffy. This is a wonderful filling for any cake.

Coconut Bavarian Cream: Our Vanilla Bavarian Cream, overloaded with shredded coconut.

Coconut Frosting: Our original Vanilla Frosting, overloaded with shredded coconut.

Confetti Frosting: More fun with sprinkles!

Cream Cheese: Pairs well with any of the fruit-flavored cakes. Especially pumpkin!

Fondant: No, not “ew”. Made with marshmallows, it isn’t the gross cake covering you’ve been warned about!

Jams, Available in Blueberry, Cherry, Raspberry, or Strawberry: All our jams are homemade, and canned at the height of the respective fruit seasons to ensure freshness when used.

Key Lime Bavarian Cream: Key Lime-flavored pudding. To ensure a quality end product, this is a seasonal item available June through September.

Lemon Curd: What can we say about lemon curd except it goes well with Lemon Cake.

Mocha Frosting: Our chocolate frosting, with added espresso.

Orange Frosting: Made with freshly squeezed orange juice and zest, this is what I imagine when I wonder what Florida sunshine would taste like.

Peanut Butter Bavarian Cream: A peanut butter-flavored pudding? Yes please!

Peanut Butter Frosting: Who doesn’t like a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup? We certainly do, and this filling will make you drool when we pipe it between two layers of Chocolate Cake and cover it with Chocolate Frosting!

Strawberries and Cream: Our homemade whipped cream, with fresh strawberries.

Thin Mint Bavarian Cream: Our Chocolate Cream, with added peppermint oil.

Thin Mint Frosting: Our Chocolate Frosting, with added peppermint oil.

Vanilla Bavarian Cream: A secret family recipe that was passed down through 4 generations, this pudding will surely delight all your guests.

Vanilla: Our classic buttercream flavor, this pairs well with many of our cake flavors.

Whipped Chocolate: Our homemade Whipped Vanilla, with added chocolate.

Whipped Vanilla: Our homemade whipped cream. We have spent many hours perfecting this recipe to withstand the Florida heat. Make no mistake, this will still melt if left in the hot sun.

White chocolate Ganache: White chocolate and heavy cream, and whipped to a light and fluffy texture.

Last, but certainly not least: We also offer boozy cakes! Whether you want the alcohol in the cake, filling, frosting, or all three is totally up to you!
Just a note, though: The taste of alcohol will be less pronounced in cake than it is in fillings and frostings.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

You've dreamed of the ultimate wedding since you were a child, right? The gown, the decorations, dream venues, and of course... The Cake. 15 tiers, stacked to the ceiling! Oh, that's just me.

What if you realized your giant dream cake wasn't in your budget?

To that I say: WRONG!

There is another option: Foam cake dummies. Yes, foam.

Don't scoff. Hear me out. Foam rounds are cut to size, from 6 inches all the way up to 20 inches, available in different shapes.

What if your giant dream cake served 750 people? Even at $2 a serving is $1,500.

They can be decorated to look exactly the same as the rest of your cake, or even create a whole cake of your dreams using no cake at all! No one will ever know the difference.

In fact, several of the cakes on this website were made partially or completely with foam. I'll give a $50 Visa gift card to the first person who can correctly identify each fake tier.

Ask us all about foam cake dummies. They are perfect for achieving a cake of dream-worthy proportions, for a fraction of the cost of real cake.
